City of Refuge, Paying it Forward- Thanksgiving 2019

Being thankful is a way of life, but this Thanksgiving, we want to do more!

In a seemingly endless cycle of only negative news deemed to be newsworthy, let me shift your attention to City of Refuge, a non-profit organization in #Dalton GA.

They help feed families in need, but more importantly, they give them a sense of dignity, that sometimes may be neglected by the community at large.

#CityOfRefuge has renovated a building which was donated by Shaw Industries and repurposed much of the unused equipment to create beautiful decor for the families they support.

I was in awe of their mission which not only feeds the body, but feeds the soul.

Truth be told, as a child, my siblings and I all qualified for free lunches in public schools. . . The children benefiting from these services come from the exact same financial circumstances which my family came from.

I will never truly be able to pay back this debt, but we can try.

May God continue to enable us to do good for one another.
